Assam: President Ram Nath Kovind enjoys elephant ride in Kaziranga National Park

President Ram Nath Kovind, who is on a three-day visit to Assam, had an elephant ride in the state's Kaziranga National Park on Sunday morning after taking part in the 19th Convocation of Tezpur University. After attending Tezpur University's 19th Convocation, Kovind landed in Kaziranga on Saturday evening. On Sunday, the President is expected to attend a special ceremony in Kohora with forest officials and the state administration. Kaziranga National Park is located in Assam's Golaghat District and Nagaon District. It is Assam's oldest park, spanning 430 square kilometres between the Brahmaputra River on the north and the Karbi Anglong Hills on the south.
